Cheering is Hard Work!

This was one of the first TV projects I worked on, and it was a fantastic way to get my feet wet. The entire show was comprised of 40 mini-documentaries about various people and departments on the Brigham Young University campus that were compiled into 10 episodes. I served as the post-production supervisor for the entire show, which involved quality control and compiling finished segments into episodes for delivery to the network.

I also produced and filmed several of the segments with my wife Amanda, this Cheer piece being my favorite one. It was a lot of fun to spend time with the cheer squad and get to know a few of them and see just how difficult and demanding their sport is. I always knew cheering required some physicality, but I didn’t realize just how intense it is. I came away from this project with a new admiration and respect for their hard work every time I see them in action at a game.
